FAQ
Key questions about daeo.
Answers to the questions we hear most before a project starts — on rollout, data ownership, model choice, and existing systems.
It starts with a data audit: where questions arise, how people search for answers, where time is lost. Only then comes the technical build with the right package — with success measures and acceptance criteria agreed up front.
No. daeo connects the relevant sources and respects existing access permissions. Your ERP, databases, document repositories, and specialist systems remain in place.
No. daeo connects your existing sources and leaves the data where it is. The systems stay unchanged; the daeo Data Engine builds a permission-aware business context from them and keeps it current.
No. Confidential data is never used to train external models. Existing roles and permissions carry over unchanged, and every answer is source-cited.
You decide the operating model: European data centres as standard, your private cloud, or your own infrastructure. The model can change later without rebuilding the business context.
Models are interchangeable and chosen per step: small models for simple steps, large ones only for the hard cases. The model choice stays yours and can change without rebuilding the business context.
daeo inherits the existing roles and access rights from your systems and checks them on every query — in the workspace and connected applications. It shows only the passages and records the person asking is cleared for, and every access is logged.
daeo is built for the obligations in force since 2 August 2026: traceable access, documented model usage, and source citations on every answer. This is the basis for your own compliance documentation.
You define in advance which actions daeo performs independently and which require human approval. The workflow’s rules and permissions determine what is allowed. Actions requiring approval are presented for review; execution is logged.
Before work begins, we agree operational measures and acceptance criteria for the use case. In customer service, these might include resolution time and escalations to specialists; in production, time to root cause; and in knowledge work, preparation or onboarding time. This makes the impact measurable in day-to-day operations.
